Alan is a professional artist based in Maidstone,Kent specializing in realistic bird and wildlife art using the mediums of graphite and coloured pencils.

My drawings are in many private collections both nationally and internationally and i have exhibited in various prestigious  exhibitions both here and overseas.

I have won a specialized category in the renowned David Shepherd Wildlife Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London and in 2019 i was elected 'Master Bird Artist' by the prestigious Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin. I have written a book describing my approach to my art- Bird Art, Drawing Birds in Graphite and Coloured pencil , this was published in 2017 by Search Press and is available worldwide.

For this solo show this new collection of drawings brings together a selection of some of my favourite local birds alongside some more exotic colourful ones.

Each drawing portrays my love of detail in my subjects alongside the textures, shapes and colours of the environments in which they can be seen.
