Using mainly acrylics on canvas, my process is quick & deliberate, in the hope of capturing a sense of energy & movement.

Landscapes give me a variety in my work that I enjoy. The composition is invariably sparked and framed by a single item, such as a body of water, a building or pathway.

Nature offers up interesting juxtapositions of shapes and intersections that I use and find challenging in my mark making. My work is an evolutionary process, aiming for a finished painting where the brush marks are broad and visible.

My work has been selected & shortlisted for the RA Summer Exhibition on a number of occasions, and I have been shortlisted for the John Moores Painting Prize.
