My work is primarily characterised by depictions of animals, juxtaposition, and often humorous commentary. I find inspiration in the forms, textures and colours of the natural world and I have been heavily influenced by my father, a geologist who kept exotic animals, reptiles, and fish. My works are particularly distinctive in their sparsely filled landscapes; blocks of colour and raw canvas are used to provoke thought through that which is alluded to but left undefined.
